Born in Jaffa, Israel.
Ron began working as a fashion photographer in the early 90’s and has since established himself as one of the most prominent visual voices coming out of Tel Aviv. Ron’s body of work can be viewed as the pure intersection between art and fashion. The point where his mastership of sculpture, painting, theater and cinema intertwine with an unmatched ability to create powerful and provocative images, that accent the inner beauty and sensitivity of his subjects. Ron’s early work coincides with a time of change brought on Israel and its cultural capital Tel Aviv, when artists began moving towards a wider visual language, that explored sex and sensuality, even if subtly, in a way that hasn’t been represented before in large scale. Ron’s perception of the human body as machine of passion is evident in the documentation of his subject matters. Ron’s style has been described as a “direct continuation” to the precedent set by the likes of Helmut Newton, bringing fashion and art closer together by creating provocative, erotically charged images that delight the viewer as much as they provoke him. Ron’s career has spanned over two decades where he shot for all the major fashion magazines and fashion brands in Israel. His imagery has graced the covers of top international fashion magazines and he has worked with fashion’s A-List models, actresses & style muses. After solidifying an outstanding position in fashion photography, Ron directed commercials and videos for top consumer brands. With years of experience under his belt, Ron opened his namesake fashion photography school with workshops geared towards the young generation of fashion photographers, Tel-Aviv own homegrown talent. After taking the lead in mentoring the young creative community around him, Ron has also begun exploring other artistic avenues such as architecture, interior design and fashion-technology related projects.
